Hong Kong stocks open higher, New Oriental jumps more than 14.5%

Hong Kong stocks opened in positive territory, according to market data from Gate. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.26% at the open, while the technology index gained 0.43%. Among individual names, New Oriental (09901.HK) climbed more than 14.5%. JD Logistics (02618.HK) was up 2.5%. Zhongji Xuchuang (03308.HK), meanwhile, fell 0.92% on its first trading day after listing. The move outlined a mixed start for individual stocks even as the broader Hong Kong market opened higher.
